This Navajo Code Talkers' Silver Medallion below was given to Theresa Potter who was the Official Artist for the Navajo Code Talkers' Association. She had it mounted in this way so she could wear it.
The front face of the Navajo Code Talkers' Silver Medallion. It depicts Ira Hayes, a U.S. Marine and Pima American Indian, who helped raised the U.S. flag over Mount Suribachi at Iwo Jima during World War II. Ira Hayes is the left most person of the group of U.S. Marines who is stretching upwards trying to get a hold of the U.S.Flag pole.
The back of the Navajo Code Takers' Silver Medallion. It depicts the symbol of the Fourth Marine Division.
