The Navajo Nation and its famous Navajo Code Talkers participated in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, January 1, 1975. Carrying the banner were the June girls from the Dine' Ba'aliil of the Navajo Club started by Navajo Code Talker Harrison Lapahie, with Navajo dances taught by Marion and Virginia Denetdale. Behind the Navajo banner girls are the Navajo Code Talkers, then the Navajo Tribal Band.
