Everett Lawrence Largo was raised just within the Navajo Reservation in the Hogback neighborhood of Shiprock, New Mexico. Everett's parents raised him in the original home of grandfather Willie Lapahie. Grandfather Willie Lapahie's home was on top of the hill, looking down at the farm.

Everett met his future wife, Norma, in Shiprock while he was in the 8th grade. He then started dating Norma during his Freshman year at Shiprock High School. They married during his Senior year on July 11, 1979. Everett's first child, Melissa was born on January 13, 1980. Everett then graduated from Shiprock High School in June 1980.

After graduation from Shiprock, Everett wanted to improve himself and search for a better life for his family, so he and his family left Hogback and search for greener pastures. First his family moved to Texas for two years. They lived in tornado alley up in Pampa Texas. One day a big tornado came by and he and his wife decided to move the very next day. He hasn’t returned to Texas since.

He then moved to Farmington, New Mexico and lived there for eight years. He worked for the Arizona Public Service Company (APS) at the Four Corners Power Plant. He stayed there for about seven years and then transferred to Phoenix, Arizona.

Everett has worked for APS for 16 years and has lived in Phoenix for the past eight. He loves the weather and people in Phoenix. Everett feels the hot weather sometimes gets very hot but he loves the winter months because it is perfect in the evenings. Nice and cool and no snow to shovel away. He plans to live in Phoenix for quite some time. His mom, Sarah (Lapahie) Largo, stay with his family during the winter months and then returns to Shiprock during the summer. Sarah Largo does not like the hot dry heat there in Phoenix during the summer months, and therefore, only stay with Evertt and the family during the winter. Sarah work as a Silversmith.

As a hobby, Everett likes to coach basketball, fish, and work on his computer. Everett is an Assistant Basketball Coach at St. Mary's High School in Phoenix, and coaches every Sunday in Scottsdale with the Tempe Eagles Basketball Club. Everett also has his own personalized basketball fundamentals tutoring service for young players. He has named his program, Nizhoni (Beautiful) Basketball Fundamentals. His program helps young players that need one on one work in their basketball skills.

Everett has been married to his wife, Norma, for seventeen years and they have seven children. The oldest (Melissa) is in high school and the two youngest twins are six months old. Their names are Melissa Largo, Lionel Largo, Michael Largo, Chrissy Largo, Bryson Largo, Rainnelle Largo, and Lynnelle Largo.

The oldest daughter, Melissa, is the only one who does the traveling for the family so far. She has travelled to California every summer to play in a Basketball Tournament in Huntington Beach. Melissa is a senior and plans to get a basketball scholarship to pay for education at a university or college.
