---- Saturday - February 11, 2012 - 1:15:56 PM - Navajo Nation Time ----

Taken December 1967 at the "Playhouse" near the corner of 9th Street and Figueroa, and across the street from the "Figueroa Hotel", in downtown Los Angeles. Dondo, Armando Nunez, and Mark Bartholemew were Ushers at the Salvation Army Christmas Party for kids in the neighborhood. Each year, the Salvation Army would give a Christmas Party for the members of the Red Shield Youth Center of which most kids in the Pico-Union District were part of.

Mr. Ed O'Neill, the man on the right behind the kids, was the Executive Director of the Red Shield Youth Center, until sometime in the 70's, when he retired to northern California in Napa Valley. He was a very good man that was respected in the Los Angeles downtown community by many.

Armando Nunez Jr., the white boy below Dondo, immigrated from Nicaragua, who I heard later became a Fire Chief at one of the Fire Stations in Los Angeles.
